General criteria

  • The owners of the company must actively participate in its management and day to day running of the business
  • Be a locally established café or restaurant
  • Vendors with an established physical café or restaurant operating with at least one (1) year in Brunei in a commercial property would be an advantage
  • Possess the necessary permits, certificates and license
  • Able to provide menu suggestions that are children-friendly
  • Able to provide event refreshment packages and in-house catering requests
  • Willing to collaborate with SEL for promotions such as discounts for SEL Memberships, discounts during both National and International events

SEL Working Hours

SEL would be open to the public seven (7) days per week. The working hours are as follows:

Monday - Thursday8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Sunday8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • The Vendor is allowed to open early or close late, as long as they are able to provide their services throughout SEL’s operation hours
  • The services shall not be carried out between 12:00 PM-2:00 PM on Fridays
  • Ramadan working hours shall be from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM and the Vendor is not allowed to provide dine-in services during these times

Tender/Contract Schedule

  • Planned tender date: Q1 2021
  • Contract Duration: 2 years with a possible 1 year extension
  • Rental Fee: Do email us directly for rental fee

SEL Cafe Layout

  • The total dining area is about 1058 square feet
  • Both the open and air-conditioned dining areas are surrounded by a lagoon, adding a relaxing ambience.
  • Visitors can enter the Café Area either by:
    • Walking along the walkway in front of the Exhibition Hall. This walkway is connected to the main parking area.
    • Walking along the walkway over the lagoon. This walkway is connected to the rear parking area
  • The counter area is about 344 square feet and equipped shutter doors
  • The kitchen area is about 422 square feet equipped with the storeroom and the Manager’s room
  • Loading bay is located on the rear of the kitchen and provide access to another storeroom
  • Combined area: approximately 1956 square feet
