Shell NXplorers is an innovative educational programme that empowers young minds to think critically, creatively, and collaboratively about real-world challenges. Focused on the Food-Water-Energy Nexus, the programme helps participants to understand how these vital systems are interconnected – and how with the right thinking and problem-solving tools can shape a more sustainable future.

The NXplorers Toolkit

What is NXthinking?
NXthinking is a creative and structured approach to understanding real-world challenges and developing meaningful solutions. It encourages participants to:
- Think both analytically and creatively
- Look deeper to uncover the root cause
- Understand how complex systems are connected and how one change can affect another
- Imagine news ways to create positive, lasting impact
This approach draws inspiration from systems thinking, scenario planning, and the theory of change, helping participants to think beyond the obvious and design smarter solutions for the future.

NXplorers Express Workshop
The NXplorers Express workshop offers a quick and engaging introduction to the NXplorers programme. Participants will discover what NXplorers is all about and get hands-on experience with some of its creative problem-solving tools.
This session features three selected tools – one from each NXplorers phase – designed to build critical thinking and real-world problem-solving skills.

NXplorers Premium Workshop

This workshop equips participants with practical skills – empowering them to design meaningful and sustainable solutions for the future.
