School Visit

What's in SEL

Seria Energy Lab (SEL) has been receiving a great number of students and teachers coming over to our science centre to experience and enjoy our programs! 

Our school visit program aims to provide students hands-on experimental activities that complements the topics that are already being taught in the classroom. It is also an additional emphasis on promoting sustainable development goals and soft skills necessary for IR 4.0.

 

ACTIVITIES

LOWER PRIMARY

Simple to moderate science activities with an experimental aspect. Learning more than what theories can tell is a sure way to make a child remember better! From doing 45-minute hands-on educational activities at Makerspace to immersive free-play time only at Seria Energy Lab!

SLIMED! (WILL BE BACK!)

Learn the joys and differences of non-Newtonian liquids from oobleck to flubber! Kids can enjoy making their own flubber and bring home!

Squishy Circuit

Let your creativity fly and learn about circuits at the same time! Kids get to make circuits out of clay and experience first hand in making closed circuits, insulators and conductors.

UPPER PRIMARY

Hands on activities with an added aspect of tinkering and open-ended design.

Papertronics (WILL BE BACK!)

By combining art and science through this activity, the students can create wonders and also learn the intricacies of electrical circuits.

DNA 101

Students can gain insight into one of the most important molecules with this hands-on activity. They have the opportunity to extract DNA from fruits and learn about its importance.

SECONDARY AND TERTIARY

Design thinking and construction basis.

SHOWS

Brain Central

This show explores one of the most important organ that is responsible for us to function everyday – the brain!

Science Magika

This show involves multiple demonstrations on fire and pressure!

TOUR OF THE EXHIBITION HALL AND ENTRANCE FEES:

  • Entrance fee for students to SEL Exhibition Hall: BND$5 per student.
  • Entrance fee for teachers/parents/guardians/non-teaching staff to SEL Exhibition Hall: BND$15 per person. (For every 10 students, we provide one free admission for their teacher).
  • For schools that require a ‘Guided Tour’, kindly refer here.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • The BND$5 rate for students is only applicable for official School Visit requests received from the school’s management and/or administration.
  • All School Visit requests, which includes activities and/or shows, must be made a minimum of 2 weeks before the visit date.
  • Any requests involving activities and/or shows received in less than 1 week will not be entertained.
  • SEL only accepts 4 school visits per day: 2 schools in the morning session and 2 schools in the afternoon session. This is to ensure the company’s quality assurance and visitors’ experience are well-maintained.
  • Teachers/supervisors are to be fully responsible for their students/entourage. SEL is not liable for any damages to any SEL assets and/or incidents happening during the excursion.
